I’ve added a new Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) question category to the quiz platform as I continue expanding exam preparation resources. To be completely transparent, I’m still learning how CNA requirements differ from state to state. I do know that CNA certification is regulated at the state level, which means each state has slightly different requirements for training hours, testing, and eligibility. At the moment, I’m primarily focusing on Utah, since that’s where I’m trying to be the most helpful right now.

In Utah, becoming a CNA generally requires completing a state-approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP), followed by passing both a written (or oral) exam and a hands-on skills test. After passing, candidates are listed on the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry, which is required to work as a CNA in the state. While specific rules and training hours may vary from state to state, the core knowledge tested on CNA exams is largely the same nationwide.

Currently, the CNA section includes 11 practice questions, with the free CNA quiz expanding to about 20 questions. For those who want more in-depth preparation, the premium version unlocks a full 100-question CNA practice exam. Although certification requirements can differ by state, this practice exam is designed to reinforce foundational CNA knowledge that should be useful anywhere, making it a strong study tool whether you’re testing in Utah or another state.
